Ratings and reviews

This game is criminally underrated. I love the strategy and planning involved in the game. The only problem is the lack of players, with there only been 100+ downloads. I still think it's really cool that there's multiplayer though and love just checking in to see if my opponent has completed their turn or not. Overall, great game from some of my favorite game developers!

Super cool concept and it gives me XCOM vibes. However single player vs. CPU appears to be broken. The game always hangs up on the computer's turn, so you cannot finish a game. Would love to see that fixed so I can update this to a 5-star review. Due to it being a small game there's not a lot of online play yet so single player definitely needs to be addressed. Kudos to the developer for a cool foundation to a game.

I used to play Chess with friends but now we play Barnard's Star! It's a much more engaging game. Each turn is a lot more fulfilling than moving a single piece in Chess. There is so much depth and strategy to discover! We also love the art and it gives us StarCraft vibes. I highly recommend this game for mobile! It's definitely my #1 pick.

What’s new

You can now play online games against bots! Use the "Add Bot" button from a game lobby to add a bot player to your game.

Two new mutations have also been added: Clone Wars, where all units on each team are the same unit. And Units from All Factions, where Human, Robot, and Critter units can play alongside each other.

The Map Editor has had several improvements: Selection tool, Cover multi-select, and easier view movement.

Additionally, there have been several balance changes and bugfixes.
