NFC passport reader is the mobile application that uses the NFC chip to communicate with an electronic passport. You can use it when you need to read the information in your passport or ID card chip and make sure this document is genuine. In order the app to work, your device must have NFC support.
To read the information from the chip, it is necessary to give him the passport number, the date of birth and the expiration date of the document. After entering this information into the app, attach a passport or ID card to your mobile phone (where the NFC sensor is located) and wait until the information is read from the chip, it takes a few seconds to read the information. You will then see the information in the passport about you, the biometric picture, and so on.
The application works successfully with Georgian passport and ID card. It may not work with some other passports.
It does not collect personal information. The data is kept only in the memory of the application and removed as soon as you close the app. Passport data is never uploaded to any remote server. App don’t use the internet. If you decide to save your passport data yourself, then the app will ask you to set the PIN code, the information is stored in your mobile memory encrypted, you must enter the PIN code you entered on the app to view it, or use your fingerprint (if your device has support), you can save Only one, your passport. You can also delete data directly (with the delete button). You can view the saved passport in the form of an ID card or Passport design, it does not change the actual document. The app is easy to understand and you can use it wherever you are.
It is simply a demonstration app and the developer of the app does not guarantee or take any responsibility when using its other purposes.
The OCR identifier is not deliberately built-in because it causes dissatisfaction and suspicion from users when taking a picture with the camera on the passport.
Avoid reading document several times with incorrect input information, which can lead to it blocking!
