About this app

pqp is a place for your group to live in: text channels, voice channels and screen sharing. Free.

Make a community, send the invite link, everyone walks in. No sign-up maze, no card.

WHAT THE ANDROID APP DOES

Voice channels. Join and talk. The call stays alive when you leave the app to do something else, because it runs in the foreground with a notification that hangs up in one tap.

Screen sharing. Show the game, the code or the video to everyone in the channel, straight from your phone. And watch whoever else is sharing.

Text chat. Channels grouped into categories, who is typing, what you have not read yet, and the history stays put.

Direct messages. Talk to one person, or make a group of up to ten.

Friends. Add by the full tag, like name#1234, and see who is online.

Notifications. When someone mentions you, replies to you, or sends a direct message while the app is closed.

Your data is yours. Download everything you have written as a file, or delete the whole account, without asking anyone.

OPEN BETA, AND WE SAY SO

This app is new and it is in beta. Built by one person. There will be rough edges, and when you find one we fix it fast.

Voice goes phone to phone between the people in the channel. It works well with five or six people in a room; past that the quality drops.

Not on Android yet: sending a file or an image in chat, and camera in calls. Both already work in the browser and are coming here.

pqp is free software under the AGPL, and the code is at github.com/rafaelcg/pqp. Use the hosted service at pqp.gg, with servers in Sao Paulo, or run your own copy.

pqp is for people 18 and over. We ask your date of birth once, on the way in.
