About this app

Namber helps people in The Gambia prepare their contacts for the move from 7-digit to 9-digit mobile numbers.

It scans the contacts you allow it to access, identifies eligible mobile numbers, and shows you each proposed change before anything is updated. You choose exactly which numbers to change.

Namber applies the national migration prefixes:

Africell: adds 87
QCell: adds 83
Comium: adds 86
Gamcel: not currently affected and never changed

Your contacts remain on your device. Namber does not upload, store, sell, or share your contacts. It does not send messages, place calls, require an account, or change any number automatically.

Before updating, you can review the selected numbers and confirm the changes. Namber updates only the approved phone-number fields and preserves the rest of each contact’s information.
