The Universal Product Code (UPC) App is used by state level staff members of the Arizona,
American Samoa, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), District of Columbia
(DC), Guam, and Navajo Nation Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants,
and Children (WIC) Program to collect and manage WIC-eligible food product information.
Key features include:
● Scan a food item’s barcode and verify if the food item is in the database.
● Add new food items to the database including:
o Food Item description
o Size
o Unit of measure
o Food category
o Food subcategory
o Food item pictures
● Usable with and without an Internet connection
