SSHelper works just fine with a normal, unrooted Android device — i.e. your device. It also offers special features on rooted devices.
SSHelper works as an application and as a service. As a service it runs in the background, providing secure communications protocols without requiring user attention.
SSHelper supports interactive Secure Shell (hereafter SSH) sessions and various kinds of transfers including scp, sftp, and rsync, on all common platforms:
On Windows, SSHelper works with WinSCP, PuTTY and similar programs.
On Linux, apart from normal SSH shell session activities, SSHelper can be used directly with file browsers for seamless filesystem browsing and transfers by specifying the "sftp:" protocol.
On the Mac, SSHelper works with Cyberduck and similar programs.
NOTE: For SSHelper versions 7.1 and newer, fully interactive shell sessions have been restored.
SSHelper announces itself on your network by way of Zeroconf/Bonjour, an efficient way to configure a local network.
SSHelper includes a log monitor Web server showing an activity log on local network browsers.
SSHelper also includes a clipboard Web server that permits read/write access to the Android clipboard from local network browsers.
SSHelper is free, open-source and there are no ads. It's licensed under the GPL and the source is freely available.

The Home Automation Gateway is dematerialized and becomes a simple app.
ZiBASE Multi is Multi-protocols, multi-devices and multi-medias.
Multi ZiBASE requires USB radio dongles supporting home automation protocols as you like, including:
- The dongle ZWAVE or ZWAVE +
- The dongle ENOCEAN-300
- The RFXtrx USB module of the RFXCOM Company for protocols CHACON, X10, OREGON, OWL.
USB dongles are not essential and it is possible to avoid them: With one or more ZIBASE Classic manufactured by Zodianet, connected to the LAN, the following protocols are directly available: ZWAVE/ZWAVE+/ENOCEAN/RFY/XDD/CHACON/X10/DOMIA/VISONIC/OWL/OREGON/BLYSS.
No need to have a rooted device.
Radio dongles are connected to smartphone/tablets with a USB OTG adapter. A regular USB Hub can provide connectivity to multiple dongles. Radio dongles are plugged directly into the TV BOX (full connectors USB 2.0).
Your relation with the home automation gateway becomes multimedia and no longer limited to detectors/sensors that trigger ultimately actuators or http actions. Your detectors and sensors, through scenarios, can display text sentences on the screen, mix images, send Test to Speech messages, making sounds, play music or video, stored locally or streamed.
Multi ZiBASE has the same user interface as ZiBASEs PRO + / + Lite and Mini available on iOS, Android and PC.
ZiBASE Multi app allows free remote control and viewing of simple devices such actuators or sensors ZWAVE / ENOCEAN or RFXtrx.
Without ZiBASE Classic, you must have at least a radio dongle to validate its operation. Open a free account has a lifespan of 3 months, after this period and without having acquired the license, you must re-register to benefit new free services.
Warning ! ZiBASE Multi is connected to the http://zibase2.net platform, not zibase.net
For access to all functions, including scenarios, it is necessary to acquire the online ZODIANET license priced 100€ (shop by clicking on the "shopping cart" logo on the left page Basic Configurator ). The license is granted for life and associated equipment. You can migrate it between devices.
