With this edition, the first editorial step is taken in a long process to form a body of texts in electronic form, with content derived from the Holy Bible, historical texts about it, liturgical texts of the Orthodox Church. The provenance of the texts is based on old and new editions and copies of manuscripts collected to enrich a respective library for theological historical research and liturgical use.
During the digitization of the texts, simple tools were used for typing and formatting; the usual trial format of the editions of the functional texts was taken into account, in terms of structure and distribution, the type of letters, the choice of colors, etc. Thus, it becomes easy to navigate the tables of contents and search for entries within the texts.
We hope that this publishing effort will be a serious "tool" for the priest, the cantor, the historian and theological researcher, in the context of liturgical and research needs in a particularly broad base of texts, constantly updated and growing with additional sequences, to cover the gaps in the hitherto printed editions.
