About this game

GrappleApp is the WORLD'S FIRST in-depth turn-based Jiu Jitsu game, where you can learn, build on and use your knowledge of the grappling martial arts to train your character, compete in tournaments, and progress through the belts, winning medals and trophies along the way.

This is a game of turn-based grappling combat strategy and can be enjoyed by all, whether you're a total beginner or an experienced grappler.

Hundreds of positions and moves have been carefully mapped out to give a healthy balance between legit Jiu Jitsu knowledge and a fun game experience.

As of v1.46, GrappleApp Pro is now available as an in-app purchase, and if you're an active grappler who is looking to document your own Jiu Jitsu roadmap, it might be worth upgrading. Check the video out first to see if it's what you need.

All feedback welcome. We aim to make this - and maintain our position as - the best possible grappling game experience on the market.

NOTE: Total space required by application may be just over 300Mb (including secondary download of move sequence data), and the initial download/setup can take some time, but after that the app loads up quickly every time.

More fun and realistic than Be JJ. The position system is pretty well thought out. Best part is you can actually learn real transitions by customizing your character to specialize in areas you're weak in. It's a little weird you and all your opponents start knowing every move. You should unlock moves after you train it like in reality. A little rough visually and a bit amateurish in some design areas, but the core game has real substance.

Love the game itself but it's so buggy. I got all the way through to ranked number 1 blue belt then went to compete and the game completely crashed everytime I tried to load it so I had to uninstall and start again. BALLACHE!!! It also crashes a lot asking to send error report but even when I click yes it still crashes and shuts down. Amazing premise, half baked execution. A bit of tweaking and this will be one of the best games out there.

Hi Connor, I believe I've fixed those issues in the latest version (1.49). Definitely fixed the crashing issue when you get to blue belt, and any other error report will be able to send now - without a further crash. Let me know if you're still having issues and I'll focus on them for the next release.

I honestly cannot get enough of this game! A really unique idea and helps me map out my own bjj game. However...this game has bugs galore. Countless times when I'm on the week of a championship match the compete button doesn't show up. In fact no buttons show up, and I am forced to start again. This mostly happens at purple or blue belt too, so I lost all my progress. Once again, really good game. If it wasn't forcing me to keep restarting it, it would be a 5 star app!
