About this app

With log BAND you can create cutting patterns for log band saws. In just a few steps you can create a cutting plan for a log and a list of the resulting sawn timber assortments.

Define and sort the assortments as you want to cut them. Your assortments are distributed on a log cross-section that they make optimal use of the log and the waste remains as low as possible.

log Band calculates the exact cutting pattern from the plait diameter and the length of the log. You can see a list with the yield of the sawn timber assortments before you start cutting.

Nice app, but missing some features. It refuses to use the full log. Most of the time it could get another row of boards, but it doesn't. Certain board dimensions seem to default to cant sawing and there is no way around it. There should be an option for allowable wayne.

I've been looking for an app to help make my cuts more efficient and also to allow to work out potential yield of logs before I out a log on the mill. This does it all, well done and thank you 😊

This is a great app! Being an amateur, it really helps me optimize my wood sawing and decide my cut pattern. I highly recommend this one!
