ZIP.GY Driver is the app for drivers and couriers working with ZIP.GY in Guyana.
Sign in with the account you already use, and your driver dashboard opens straight away. Everything you do today works exactly the same: go online, take ride requests, accept food, grocery and package deliveries, follow the trip, capture proof of delivery, and see what you have earned.
WHY THERE IS A SEPARATE DRIVER APP
The passenger app is for booking. This one is for working. It opens on your dashboard rather than a home screen, and it keeps your position flowing to the customer while you drive, which the passenger app does not do.
LOCATION SHARING WHILE YOU DRIVE
ZIP.GY Driver collects location data to show the customer where their driver is, to keep dispatch accurate, and to measure the distance of a completed trip for your fare.
It does this even when the app is closed or not in use, because a customer watching your car on their map needs your position to keep moving while your phone is in your pocket or mounted on the dash with the screen off.
Location is only shared while you are online or on a live job. The moment you complete the job or go offline, it stops. You can see at a glance whether it is running, because a notification stays in your status bar the whole time it is active, and tapping it brings you back to your dashboard.
WHAT YOU NEED
An approved ZIP.GY driver or courier account. If you do not have one yet, apply through ZIP.GY first and sign in here once you are approved.
Android 6.0 or later.
