I'm so glad I found Hardcover when I did. After quitting Goodreads last year, I started using Storygraph because it's what I saw constantly recommended in the book reading communities I frequented. But I could never get used to the insufficient and hideous UI and just stopped tracking my books entirely in frustration. Then I saw someone suggest Hardcover on Reddit, I decided to give it a try and I've been loving it ever since. I'm even a Supporter & Librarian and enjoy helping curating books.

Love the app, much more than goodreads, but not enough to put up with its many bugs. For example, the app has a hard time saving my updated read progress and an even harder time staying connected to the servers. Not to mention the fact that it has not been updated since late 2023. It's a shame because it has major potential, and I do prefer it over goodreads, but until it receives a major update I will no longer be using it.

They don't have a number of books so have to go to Goodreads to add them. I search for a book, it takes too long, and takes me to a book nowhere near what I searched for. It's unintuitive. I just want my current read list to update to read and it's always multiple clicks to even figure out where my current list is. So I tried to export to switch to something else and ..JSON code?? Beware, if you start using this app it is not easy to change to something else.
