Sai Baba of Shirdi (15 October 1918), also known as Shirdi ke Sai Baba, was an Indian spiritual saint who was revered by both Hindu and Muslim devotees. He himself did not follow any specific religion and advised his devotees to transcend the man-made barriers of religion and embrace the principle of universal love for all creatures. His devotees regarded him as a saint, fakir, and satguru (one who show path of salvation), according to their individual proclivities and beliefs.

Gradually she started bringing food to Baba. As the days passed baba started treating her as his mother. Mhalspati, the village chief and a priest, once possessed by lord khandoba, uttered that there is a holy spirit here pointing towards the Sai Baba.
Sai Baba Chalisa is used to worship Sai Baba and seek his blessings. It is believed that regular recitation of the Sai Baba Chalisa has benefits like being cured of physical and mental ailments and protection from treachery by others besides many more.
