The first cross-platform bird information app in Hong Kong that allows you to access multimedia information of common birds of Hong Kong for free.

The App "HKcBirds: Common Birds of Hong Kong" is jointly developed by Department of Computer Science, The University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Bird Watching Society, under the project titled "Birds of Hong Kong in Your Hands" supported by the HKU Knowledge Exchange Fund.

*** Note that the app contains hundreds of media files and is large in size (about 957 MB). It does not require an Internet connection to access its database. Enough storage space is therefore required.

Ratings and reviews

Huge size, but it's a must have for bird lovers in HK. Sometimes I wish the pictures could be a bit clearer for larger screens. I also wish some minor info could be updated, but understand it could be a huge travail given such amount of info.

i love this app but it doesn't seem to work on Android 9 anymore! I would be willing to pay money for this app if it meant it worked again/brought an expanded catalogue of birds & media

love this app but it doesn't work with Android pie, when i tried to open it it force close immediately
