Dog's age in human years - New scientific formula

How old is my dog in human years?

Would you like to know how old your dog is in man-years? You can enter either the date of birth or age and this app will calculate it for you.

The science behind a dog's age

This app is using a new formula, which was published by a team of scientists from the University of California, San Diego. Their assumption is that all dogs, regardless of breed, follow a similar developmental trajectory, with puberty reached at 10 months and dying before 20 years.

You can find the link to the complete study in the app.

New formula

Forget the "multiply by 7" trick. It was a very rough estimate, that had to be adjusted for different breeds and dog sizes.

Scientists have developed a new formula for calculating a dog's age by converting it into a natural logarithm and then adjusting the result by scale and offset values. This app does all these for you automatically:

1. Just enter the birthday OR age
2. Press "Calculate"
3. See the result immediately

The app stores your pet's data and you can look up the age anytime later.

Just use it - no strings attached!

Tiny app (much smaller than similar apps!). No permissions. No background processes. No unnecessary screens or delays. And of course it's all free!
