About this app

With the K&H Account Opening application, you can open an online bank account anytime, anywhere (1).

Quick and easy: You need an ID card or passport, an address card or a document proving a foreign address, a stable internet connection, and a camera phone (with a live phone number) and an email address.

When opening an account online, we perform remote (indirect) customer identification without a video call.

Your documents will be photographed and verified using security features. In addition to the selfie, we also make a movie of you so that no one can abuse your identity. Declarations and contracts will be made available to you electronically.

If we can successfully read your data with NFC (NFC phone and NFC-capable document required), you can open an online bank account without any restrictions. At the end of the process, your live bank account and your digitized bank card will be immediately available, so you can pay immediately with a few clicks with K&H Apple Pay.

Your physical bank card will be mailed after opening the account, and you can request the corresponding PIN code from K&H Mobile Bank.

Both K&H Mobile Bank and K&H e-Bank are immediately available to you, and your newly concluded contracts are available on the K&H e-mail interface.

You can use the K&H convenience plus account package online account package free of charge for 3 months, and after this period we will recommend an account package that best suits your account management and transaction habits during the period.

Hungarian citizens over the age of 18 who do not qualify as a key public figure or are not US taxpayers can open an account online.

If your data cannot be retrieved via NFC (2), you can use your account with the following restrictions, which you can unlock in video identification via K&H Bank Branch or K&H TeleCenter (3):
- you cannot make transfers, collections, card purchases exceeding the HUF 10 million limit
- you can withdraw a maximum of HUF 300,000 per month in cash (total value of cash withdrawals from a bank card, ATM, post office or bank branch)
- Cash cannot be deposited into your account
- you can only initiate a domestic HUF transfer and receive HUF

The process of opening an online bank account takes a few minutes and consists of a few very simple steps:
- Download the K&H account opening application
- provide contact information
- document and self-photography
- verification of personal data
- making statements
- Enter PIN for digital administration
- signing of a framework agreement
- customer knowledge questionnaire
- account and credit card contract
- Download and activate K&H mobile bank

Technical conditions:

- K&H Mobile Banking - iPhone 5s or later device and minimum iOS 13.0 operating system
