As part of the HungAIRy project, the University of Miskolc is creating a high-resolution particulate matter monitoring network in Miskolc and Kaposvár in order to learn about and map environmental PM10 and PM2.5 pollution. The distribution of the network consisting of 60 measuring units in Miskolc and 20 measuring units in Kaposvár aims to cover the entire area of ​​the cities. The deployed measuring units have a modular system, the sensors and the data collection system are low-cost and energy-consuming.
