Every village must have its own story, just like Desa Idaman. According to the story, formerly Idaman village was known as a spa (bathing for the Chinese), but strangely none of the residents were of Chinese descent and most of them were Muslims.

Desa Idaman is a hamlet of Sungai Empat Village which was inaugurated on Wednesday 20 July 2011 and consists of five villages namely Dusun Moga Darat, Moga Mulia, Kemang, Payung and Mandian which are now the center of village administration. And you may wonder why it has the name IDEAL (Beautiful Peaceful and Safe). This village is a lowland/swamp village where the majority of the population is smallholder coconut, sago, palm and areca nut farmers, to market agricultural/plantation products through river and land transportation if it's not the rainy season, and Idaman village which is still below the poverty line, because it's difficult to If it's rainy season, take the Idaman village, village-to-village roads still use gravel-walled roads.
