About this game

iMico is an APP of the serious game category developed by the company iInformatica S.r.l.s. With the term serious game we indicate all those digital games that have not exclusively or mainly an entertainment purpose, but contain educational elements. In fact, through iMico the little players will be able to discover the fundamentals of Mycology. The name comes from the union of the two key concepts that underlie the idea of this game: computer science and mycology.
The game intended for a very wide audience, from children to adults, allows through the Learn section to discover the main features of each mushroom in the game archive. For each mushroom it will be possible to consult an information sheet (name, family, type, etc ..) accompanied by the relative drawing, faithful to the original, of the fungus in question. All designs have been created specifically for this game and handcrafted using digital techniques. iMico combines the ancient art of design with the most modern programming.
Once the knowledge of mushrooms has been acquired, it will be possible to test their skills in the play section. The game consists of several levels, from the quizzes where you have to answer questions about the mushrooms shown, from the "Memory" where using our memory we will have to discover all the mushroom pairs, until levels where you have to pay attention to spot the poisonous mushrooms or collect only the edible ones .
In addition to being an educational experiment, the iMico app, in fact, is also a scientific experiment of research and development, thanks to the original integration of the Computer Vision world in Mycology, through an experimental section that will allow the user after taking a picture of mushroom to identify the family to which it belongs (with relative probability of correctness).
