Welcome to the "Read-Kale" application - recorded books - The Central Library for the Blind and Reading Disabilities and Philosoph Society.
The application is optimized for blind and visually impaired surfers and enables easy reading of tens of thousands of books, movies, newspapers and magazines - all at the touch of a button and at no cost!
With this application you can enjoy over 12,000 audio books in a variety of genres and languages, recorded in the voice of professional narrators. The application was designed in a very simple and minimalistic way, so that surfers with visual impairments are especially comfortable for easy reading!
To use the app, you must be a member of the Central Library for the Blind and for reading disabilities. If you are entitled to library services (visually impaired or reading such as learning disabilities or physical disabilities that make reading difficult), contact the library immediately, register and enjoy a whole world of content that is especially available for you.
Philosoph Mobile is a company that specializes in technological accessibility adapted for the visually impaired and the blind. Other products she developed, such as the Caracell dictionary and the accessible scientific calculator, were very successful among the target audience.

What’s new

Read-in-the-past marking for screen reader users

Books you have already listened to are now marked in lists. As you move through a book list, your screen reader adds "read on July 2026" at the end of the book description, or "read in the past" when the date is not known.

The marking is spoken only and does not change how the list looks.

Note: books from the older listening history are marked even if you listened only briefly. Books read from now on are marked after 20 minutes.
