About this app

This application is highly integrated into our Helmsman Navigation System, which is a boat controller designed to do four major things:

Navigation: Accurate waypoint navigation thanks to an excellent GPS receiver using online maps.

Cruise Control: For efficient sailing or trolling with a set speed, even in bad conditions.

Record Route: You can record your routes so you can re-use them on your next trip.

Anchor: With a push of button your boat will stay where it is, convenient and reliable.

Ratings and reviews

So far so good. A bit touchy but overall works well. A few minor issues. Can't make the map show course up, only north up. I don't see how to delete routes stored in the Home section. Easy to delete in the local section. Also, most useful to fix, if the route is stopped mid route, there is no way to continue. The app wants to go back to point 1. Would love to see these incorporated in a future update.

Getting better all the time. Would be great if anchor lock was slower. Continually overcompensates. Should only go to faster speeds when further away from spot. Needs more finesse. Boat may only move a metre or two then motor seems to go flat out to get back to the spot and over shoots then process is repeated. Keep the updates coming. Edit. Upgrade has been performed and unit spot locks perfectly!

Works well as advertised. Three improvements needed for 5 stars would be: 1. Offline maps since you are not always in Cell coverage 2. Maps with contours of water body so you can follow a specific contour when fishing 3. Stop app from stopping when Smart Phone is used for another activity such as a call or another app.
