About this app

Solmelu (meaning “Greetings” in Tulu) has been designed and developed with an aim to help the traditional artisans, shopkeepers, vendors in the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi regions, and to curate and execute a structured and seamless experience to tourists visiting the region.

Set of features in the app:
- Explore Dakshina Kannada by searching on map
- View and provide feedback on curated Trips around the region
- View and provide feedback on activities happening around you
- Register as a vendor on the platform to publicise your businesses
- Personalise your profile

Solmelu has been jointly developed by Robosoft Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. One of the most notable aspects of Solmelu's development is that it was primarily built by students, who brought fresh creativity, coding expertise, and innovative problem-solving skills to the project. They were guided by a team of design and technical experts from Robosoft Technologies, whose mentorship was invaluable in refining the app's architecture and user experience.
