About this app

BLO App (erstwhile known as GARUDA App) is a dedicated Mobile App for BLOs for performing their tasks digitally. Following are the main features of BLO App:
a) Checklist/Field Verification of Forms
b) Collection of AMF (Assured Minimum Facility) /EMF (Extended Minimum Facility)
c) Capturing of GIS co-ordinates of Polling Stations.
d) Update of Photos of Polling Stations
e) Form Submission on behalf of Electors
f) House to House Verification

Ratings and reviews

The app has potential, but currently needs significant improvements. The search by name and location is not reliable, and mandatory fields in the form are not clearly indicated, which creates confusion. The UI/UX could be more user-friendly and intuitive. Navigation is not smooth, and filters do not always work as expected. For example, some electors appear in the “unmapped” category even though they are already mapped, which affects data accuracy. I'd like to point out two shortcomings. 1. After opening the elector list in the Gender Statistics tab, the mobile's back button doesn't work; only the back arrow in the app works. 2. If even a single letter is mistyped in the search option for the elector list, you have to delete all the letters and type them again. The search result should appear as soon as the incorrect letter is corrected.

Search by name and location is unreliable, and mandatory fields are not clearly indicated. The UI/UX is poor and not intuitive, and filters do not work as expected. Unmapped electors are shown even when already mapped, causing confusion. Overall, the app needs significant improvement to be usable for BLO workers.
