Let us strive together to maintain standards.

In this app, the hotels, restaurants, bakeries, and juice stalls that have voluntarily come forward on the basis of a request from the officers of the Food Safety Department are included. These hotels, etc., undergo a self-assessment and correction, and are later subjected to a detailed inspection and evaluation by the independent FSSAI-authorized auditors. Based on the reports submitted by the auditors, these hotels, etc., are awarded hygiene certification by FSSAI. The audit questionnaire attached here will show you how stringent this process was. It is a beginning; at present, there are around 1700 hotels in this app. The number keeps increasing.

The main purpose of the Hygiene rating scheme is to:

* Allow consumers to make an informed food choice about where to eat and cultivate good eating habits

* Encourage food businesses with high hygiene standards and to continue maintaining them

* Showcase the same to their consumers

* Motivate other food businesses having lower hygiene standards to improve.
