Naapi is a private measuring tool from Naapi.in. It is not a government app: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorised by the Government of Bihar, the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, the Directorate of Land Records & Survey or any other government body. It provides no government service, issues no record or certificate, and charges no fee.
Naapi measures land on the cadastral map (mauza naksha) you already have. Open the map PDF you downloaded from the official land-records portal, or a scan or a photo of a paper sheet, type the khesra number, and read the plot's area in decimal, katha, dhur, bigha, acre, square feet and square metres — on your phone, offline, free.
OFFICIAL SOURCES OF THE MAPS AND LAND RECORDS
Every cadastral sheet Naapi opens — including the sheets in its shared library — is a public document published by the Government of Bihar on its own websites, and the khesra numbers and rakba come from the same place. Naapi neither issues nor alters them, and only the official record is authoritative:
• Revenue maps (CS, RS, Chakbandi) as PDF — Bhu-Abhilekh, Directorate of Land Records & Survey: https://bhuabhilekh.bihar.gov.in
• Digitised plot map with khesra, khata and rakba — Bhu Naksha Bihar: https://bhunaksha.bihar.gov.in
• Jamabandi register, khata and khesra details, mutation, LPC — Bihar Bhumi: https://biharbhumi.bihar.gov.in
• Survey and settlement, printed map orders — DLRS Bihar: https://dlrs.bihar.gov.in
• Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Government of Bihar: https://land.bihar.gov.in

WHAT IT DOES
• Find a plot by its khesra number; the boundary is taken from the map's own drawn lines.
• Or tap inside a plot (auto-detect), or draw the corners yourself.
• Every side length is shown on the map, in feet or metres.
• Area in all local units at once, with the katha of your area (Bihar presets, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam, or your own values).
• Set the scale: the standard 16 inch = 1 mile (1:3960), a custom scale, calibration by a known distance or a known area, or GPS.
• Batwara (division): into equal parts, by ratio, by a fixed area, or along a line you draw. Each piece becomes a plot with its own area.
• Overlay several sheets and match them corner to corner; fade the base sheet; erase clutter.
• Satellite view and GPS points where enabled; walk a boundary with the phone.
• Land Measurement Report (भूमि मापी प्रतिवेदन) as PDF, Word or picture, with the map, the chauhaddi, the plots table, notes and signature — and the calculation pages if you want them. Share it on WhatsApp. It is a measurement, not a government record, and says so on every page.
• Calculation report, sides and areas as CSV/Excel, KML for Google Earth.
• Calculator for a plot with no map: type the side lengths and diagonals.
SHARED MAP LIBRARY
Cadastral sheets (CS, RS, Chakbandi) of whole anchals, downloaded from Bhu-Abhilekh and ready to open — today Mahua and Lalganj (Vaishali), Jehanabad and Arwal, and growing. Search by mauza name or thana number.
MAPS FROM ANY STATE
Built around Bihar's maps and units, and it works with cadastral maps from any state: any PDF, scan or photo of a survey sheet. Only the default scale and the katha presets are Bihar's, and both can be changed.
WORKS OFFLINE, KEEPS YOUR DATA
After the first visit everything except the shared library and the satellite view works without internet. Your maps, plots and measurements stay on your phone; nothing is uploaded. No ads, no account needed, no analytics.
ACCURACY AND LEGAL NOTE
A measurement from a map is an estimate of what the map shows, and a batwara drawn here is a planning estimate, not a legal partition. Verify the scale and the boundary against the official record — the portals above, or your anchal office — before any legal use.
