The wireless Predictive Thermometer was built to answer a simple but important question: when will my food be ready? Combustion’s Predictive Engine™ estimates exactly when that will be, using the data from 8 onboard sensors (the most of any cooking thermometer).

Ratings and reviews

The thermometer itself is great but the app leaves something to be desired. every time I enter a prediction it will tell me that it failed to connect to the probe at least once. also, if this has some kind of alarm I have literally never heard it. I have all the sound settings on in the app, and I would expect to work like any other alarm but it doesn't finally, if you don't immediately put the probe away you will constantly get notifications about its status.

Fantastic thermometer and a very easy to use app. You still need to make sure you know how to properly insert the probe but with all the sensors it's not nearly as critical to hit the one "sweet spot" that you had to with old steam gauge ones. I took one star away because mine does not measure ambient temperature correctly but with an oven thermometer it's no big deal- merely surprising. Cannot recommend strongly enough.

I'd love to see a QR code on the packaging or even a basic "welcome" walkthrough for the first time you link up a CPT so you don't have to track down the user manual. Now importantly I'd love to see a battery level indicator on the app with an expected time remaining measurement as optional just in case you're planning to smoke something for 18-20 hours and you're not sure the probe will make it. Sure i could charge it, but my Meater is half the price or better and offers some of this already.
