EBPocket is dictionary viewer for EPWING standard.
It is also possible to search for StarDict, Mdict,dsl dictionary.
EPWING is one of the most common dictionary standard in Japan.
EBPocket professional can perform a variety of search methods,

[Important!] Since Android 11, it is no longer possible to access the external SD dictionary. You need to copy the dictionary to your app-specific internal storage(/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/info.ebstudio.ebpocket/files/EPWING).You can copy the dictionary from the SD card using the dictionary manager, or copy the dictionary from the PC with a USB connection.

Ratings and reviews

I originally gave this 4 stars back in 2013 because the UI could be a little clunky and editing groups or adding dictionaries could be improved, but that's a very minor issue. However, I've been using this literally daily since 2013 and I must say, it is the single most used and useful app I have ever bought.

Pros: It's usable as a dictionary. Cons: Everything else. App is google translated from Japanese I guess, it's impossible to understand what settings or menus do. UI is ancient, reminds me of dictionaries I used on my Pocket PC 20 years ago.

Excellent app that has been a valuable tool over my many years using Japanese in everyday life and work, but can you PLEASE add a feature that let's us save the dictionary group layouts, etc?
