I've used this app for a very long time, I have tasker automatically open it when I'm connected to my d5000 ssid. It had a few issues a bunch of years ago with listing images on the camera over it's WiFi but I was pleasantly surprised to see it work flawlessly while out on a shoot recently and was able to quickly transfer a couple shots to my phone. I was surprised to see so many 1* reviews for such a great app that has been my go to for multiple Nikon cameras I have.

Great app. Just learn how to use and configure it - read the docs on the author's website - before you get frustrated and leave a bad review. I've used qDslrDashboard with various Android devices and Canon cameras over the years. Anytime there's been a problem, it's ended up being a hardware issue - such as a bad USB cable or weak Wi-Fi signal - and not a problem with the app itself. If you need help, ask on the forums.

Good app. My d800 Nikon at first would lock up after exposure. Went into TOOLS and changed a few options. Now works great. This is on the latest Samsung Galaxie 700+ tablet with Android 12. I love that ALL of the cameras controls are now able to be controlled from the app. Very logically laid out also. I did get an exteral power supply for the camera and now can shoot long exposures (make sure you turn on long exposure comp for auto darks in the options). I use for astrophotography.
