PlayerTrackr is a basketball stats app for coaches of youth and amateur teams,
and for parents who want to know what their kid actually did on the floor.
LOG IT DURING THE GAME, NOT FROM MEMORY THAT NIGHT
The rebound drops, the break is on, the shot's already up. A coach looking down
at a phone misses what happens next. Logging fits in one thumb: the player, the
play, done. No menus to dig through — the plays you log most are always in the
same place, game after game.
What gets logged: points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, turnovers and
minutes. Shooting is split by type — free throws, 2PT, 3PT — because one combined
percentage hides which of the three is the problem.
WHAT THE NUMBERS TURN INTO
• Totals and averages, per game and across the season
• Trends game over game: what's climbing, what's flat
• Offensive and defensive efficiency
• Two players side by side, on the same measures
• A full report in one tap, for the club or for a player
At halftime the totals are already there. You see who played how much and who
gave the ball away, and you adjust the second half based on what happened, not on
what you remember.
FROM SATURDAY'S NUMBERS TO TUESDAY'S PRACTICE
The drill library covers shooting, ball handling, defense and conditioning. Build
a practice program and send it to the player who needs it. Weekly practice plans
are suggested for your team's age group, and a tactics board lets you draw a set,
an inbound play, or the correction you want to show on Monday.
FOR PARENTS: READ, WITHOUT LOGGING ANYTHING
The coach sends a link. The parent installs the app, creates an account, opens
the link, and gets the team in read-only — with their kid's stats if the coach
attached them to that link. After every finished game, a notification sums up
what their kid did; it can be turned off in settings.
Parents can't change anything, and that's the point. One sheet per team, kept by
one person: that's what makes a parent's numbers the same as the coach's.
ONE SEASON IS A BOX SCORE. FIVE SEASONS IS A PLAYER.
Most stat books start over every year. The binder goes missing, the coach
changes, and all that's left of last season is a rough memory. PlayerTrackr keeps
seasons side by side: same player, same sheet, lines stacked — even when a player
moves up an age group and the coach changes with it. That's where you see what a
single game never shows: three more points per game than two years ago, or twice
as many assists as when they started.
FREE TO DOWNLOAD
The free version covers one team and one game — enough to try logging for real,
on an actual Saturday.
Free with no time limit: live logging during the game, sharing with parents,
post-game notifications, weekly practice plans and the tactics board.
Premium removes the limits: unlimited teams and games, the full drill library,
advanced player stats. $0.99 per month or $8.99 per year, renewing automatically.
You can manage or cancel it at any time in your Google Play subscriptions.
Cancelling costs you no data: you simply go back to the free version's limits.
BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD
An account is required, for coaches and parents alike. You can create one with an
email address, a phone number, or through Google.
An internet connection — cellular or Wi-Fi — is required both to log a game and
to read stats: your data lives online, not on the phone. PlayerTrackr does not
work offline. Check your gym's coverage before the first game.
