StepMania is a rhythm game that lets players create and play custom content. Since 2008, the AMX edition has focused on expanding the simulator's capabilities while maintaining compatibility with existing content.
Over the years, the project has accumulated thousands of improvements and bug fixes. It was also the first version to introduce features that are now common across most simulators, such as independent BPM changes for each difficulty and Pump It Up-style hold notes, as well as experimental features that continue to evolve, including speed areas and the timeline fold model.
Our goal is to bridge the past, present, and future of the StepMania ecosystem by reducing the need to maintain multiple simulator versions for different content packs. To achieve this, a single installation aims to reproduce content from the last three decades as faithfully as possible, whether it uses DivX or HEVC video, AIFF or AAC audio, BMP or WebP images, or KSF or SSC step data.
Rhythm game that brings the arcade experience to your phone.
