About this app

Beamback turns marine weather sent as plain satellite text into a real, interactive
GRIB chart, completely offline. Perfect for sailors, cruisers, and anyone off the grid.

HOW IT WORKS
Out at sea you have no internet, but you can receive text messages on a satellite
messenger. Beamback reads those messages, decompresses the encoded GRIB forecast inside
them, and draws it as a live weather map on your phone, wind, pressure, rain, and waves.
No connection required at any step.

• See wind barbs, pressure isobars, rain and wave overlays on a dark, offshore-friendly map
• Scrub hour by hour through the forecast
• Tap anywhere to read the exact values at that point
• Save the raw GRIB file to open in your other navigation tools

100% OFFLINE
The world basemap is built into the app, so it works with no signal, at the nav station,
mid-ocean, in airplane mode. Nothing is uploaded. No account. No sign-in. No tracking.
