It's nice to finally have time synchronization without an RTC (now I have no reason to buy one), as well as notifications, but the one thing that's really lacking is tethering. Not all phones or carriers support it, and in the case of my Samsung phone, it gets immediately disabled if I'm on wifi (for Android auto), which kind of defeats the purpose. There is a fairly easy way to do it (I think), but unfortunately, my idea is too long to fit here, so I'll post it on the forums.

This app runs non stop and always says "Service is Running" in my notification area. Force close the app and it reopens..... The only way to stop it is to Uninstall??? Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. I don't want this app running 24/7 when I only need it while I'm driving. Edit response to dev. Did you consider that people don't want services running on their phone all the time and would prefer to open it when they get in their car? Or at least have the choice when paying for an app???????

Please have a look how foreground services work in Android. Connected Pro monitors if connection to the car is established and then automatically connects with OpenAuto Pro. It consumes no resources in background and notification about running services can be disabled. Did you consider to do that?

Keeps running all the time. It could trigger on something, but instead they run a server continuously and no way to close it. Crappy development techniques make me distrust what the software ACTUALLY does. Regardless of my feelings, servers waste battery. Edit after dev response: I recommend taking a look at event receivers, specifically BluetoothAdapter.ACTION_STATE_CHANGED. that would remove the obnoxious banner and provide the stated benefit of the app.

We recommend to have a look at foreground services and notifications topics in Android. Connected Pro does not do any tasks in background. It drains exactly 0% of battery in background - that was tested with various devices. Also there is no internet data used by Connected Pro. What trust concerns do you mean exactly? Review is strongly unfair.
