About this app

Kura is the pre-accounting and document management mobile application designed for accounting firms in French Polynesia. It helps teams upload invoices, receipts, quotes, or delivery notes from the field and then retrieve the structured document in the firm's workspace.

The goal is simple: to reduce the time spent reviewing documents and prepare client files faster. An invoice uploaded to Kura becomes usable data line by line in less than 30 seconds, including the description, quantity, unit price, amounts, VAT read from the document, and a suggested accounting account. The supported VAT rates for French Polynesia are those of the territory: 0%, 5%, 13%, and 16%. The amounts are designed for local practice, with XPF as the native currency.

Kura is for accounting firms and their invited clients. Each firm has its own environment, and each client space is isolated to keep files separate. From the application, an authorized user can scan or upload a document, track its processing, view documents, verify extracted fields, and prepare accounting entries. Exports then allow the retrieval of useful data in the firm's working formats, including Sage and CSV.

The product is B2B and operates by invitation only. It does not replace human oversight; it accelerates the reading, structuring, and preparation of journal entries, while allowing the firm to validate the documents and allocations. Kura is particularly well-suited to local tax and operational realities: Polynesian VAT, amounts in CFP francs, multi-client files, exchanges between the firm and the client, and the need to produce clean exports without unnecessary re-entry.

Kura is published by Devlab in Papeete. The application complements the Kura web portal to facilitate mobile document upload and viewing, with an experience designed for firms that want to streamline their document collection and prepare their journal entries with less friction.
