Founded in Calgary, Alta. in 1957 newsprint as Canadian Curling News, THE CURLING NEWS is owned by Roustan Media Ltd., owner of THE HOCKEY NEWS.

From 1957 through 2019, print issues of THE CURLING NEWS were packed with the latest analysis, behind-the-scenes stories, brilliant action photography and curling information that readers simply couldn’t find anywhere else. Both individual and “curling club” subscription models were sold.

Digital editions were introduced in the early 2000s and featured extra pages and immersive content full of bonus stories, hyperlinks, dedicated videos and easy-to-read pop-up text.

In early 2020, print editions were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. THE CURLING NEWS became available for free in a digital partnership with Sports Illustrated.

Now this timeless title stands on its renewed platform THECURLINGNEWS.COM, where historic nods to the Roaring Game’s glorious past team with increased focus on the top news in today’s modern game, culminating in the drive to the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Italy.
