About this app

Making commitments to new habits is easy, but keeping to them is not. Use Discipline to hold yourself accountable, by backing your commitment with a cash deposit. Remove the need for constant self-discipline, and let your phone keep you accountable instead.

Discipline can help you:

- Reduce addictive app usage: Dating apps, social media, & other distractions.
- Increase usage of self-improvement apps: Meditation, journaling, exercise & more.
- Show up where you want to be: The gym, social events, etc..
- Keep in touch: Call your mom, a friend, or make the hard call you have been putting off.

How it Works

1) Make a commitment
2) Put down a cash deposit
3) Keep your commitment, or risk loosing your deposit

Unlike other self-improvement apps, commitments made with Discipline are final. There's no way to avoid completing it, without losing your deposit. Even uninstalling the app, or disabling it, does not bypass the system.

* Maintain new habits, by using the app as a habit tracker
* Set and achive goals with a goal setter
* App Blocker, with real uninstall prevention
* Block distractions with an app blocker you can't just remove
* Automated accountability, that does not require self-discipline
* Boost productivity by avoiding distractions

Note: The app does not currently work on rooted devices.

You can't set your own goals inside of this app. Instead, the phone's permissions are the only way the app can measure completion. I appreciate Discipline's philosophy against profiting off the user's failure, but I'm not able to track any goals that aren't contained in my phone (>80%). The phone permission categories may be great for people who won't self-report. For me, I'd need to use Discipline.io alongside Beeminder or another app greedy for my dollars. I hope the devs reconsider someday.

$.99-$99.00 is extreme amounts for digital information?. I'm trying to learn how to build apps that are actually affordable to people and don't charge them and run things in a hidden manner. I've invested so much money into paying for in-app purchases, just to be gilded by the ones who benefit financially. Can't call somewhere and get some assistance when things are wrong, because employees aren't aware or they are limited to what they're able to do. Hold yourself accountable, Don't use bank sec

Hi. The in-app purchase is 100% refundable, that is the entire purpose of the app. If you are having trouble using the app, please reach out at info@discipline.io
