About this app

Burrow Deck is a markdown notepad that stays on your phone. No account, no sync, no network — open the app and write.

WRITE IN MARKDOWN
Plain text with a little punctuation. Headings, bold, italic, strikethrough, inline code, fenced code blocks, quotes, dividers, bullet lists, numbered lists and checkboxes all render the moment you switch to preview. An insert strip above the keyboard puts every mark one tap away, and five templates — meeting notes, daily log, checklist, project brief, recipe — give you a running start.

LIVE CHECKBOXES
Tap a checkbox in preview and the note's source updates itself. Open and done counts show in the editor and feed your writing record.

ORGANIZE WITH TAGS
File a note under as many tags as you like. The Tags screen shows how many notes and words sit under each one, and a tap opens the deck filtered to that tag. Rename or delete a tag and every note follows along. Pin the notes you open daily to keep them at the top.

FIND ANYTHING FAST
Search reads the whole note — title, body and tag names — scores the matches and shows the matching line in context with the search term highlighted. Filter by tag to narrow it further.

SEE YOUR RECORD
The Insights screen charts the past week of writing, counts notes, words and ticked checkboxes, tracks your current and best day streak, and shows how the deck is filed across tags. Twelve writing milestones are measured from your own notes.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
There is no account, no cloud and no analytics. Burrow Deck has no networking code at all: your notes are stored in a local database on your device and nothing is ever uploaded. Uninstalling the app removes everything with it.
