Vaikus is a quiet, private call blocker. It filters unwanted calls entirely on your device — the app has no internet access at all, which you can verify yourself: there is no network permission in the manifest.

WHAT IT DOES

- Block specific numbers — add any number and it will never ring again
- Block by prefix — stop entire ranges, like premium-rate or telemarketing prefixes
- Block hidden numbers — calls with no caller ID are rejected silently
- Block unknown numbers — reject everything that is not in your contacts (calls from people you know are never affected)
- Block foreign numbers — reject all calls that don't match your country code
- Allow-list exceptions — numbers or prefixes that always get through, even with strict rules enabled
- Reject or silence — choose per rule whether a call is declined or just muted

STAY IN CONTROL

- Pause protection for 30 minutes, 1 or 3 hours when you're expecting a delivery, taxi or clinic call
- Quick Settings tile — pause and resume right from the notification shade
- Blocked-call log with one-tap actions: call back, unblock, or unblock and call
- Optional silent notifications about blocked calls — off by default, because silence is the point
- Share a phone number from any app to Vaikus to create a blocking rule instantly
- Export and import your rules as a file when switching phones
- Statistics: see how many calls were stopped this week and month

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

- No internet permission — nothing ever leaves your phone
- No access to your call log or contacts
- No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking
- Uses the official Android call screening role — no battery-draining background tricks

WHAT VAIKUS DOES NOT DO

Vaikus is not a caller ID service. It does not tell you who is calling and has no cloud spam database — that kind of feature requires uploading data to servers, and Vaikus will never do that. You decide what gets blocked, and everything stays on your device.

"Vaikus" means "silence" in Estonian. Light and dark themes, English and Russian interface.

Requires Android 10 or newer. Vaikus works as your call screening app; calls from your saved contacts always ring normally.
