Nagomi (和み) means calm. A white canvas, a single black line — the surface of a lake. You skip stones across it.
ONE RULE
Tap at the exact moment the stone meets the water. A ring closes in around the stone; tap when it touches the surface. There is nothing else to learn.
A run of precise landings chains a combo up to ×5, and each one lets the lake ring out a little fuller. A miss makes no sound at all — the world just quietly settles again.
THE SURFACE IS A STRING
Thirteen strings lie across the screen, tuned to the Japanese hirajōshi scale. Each landing takes the note of the band it fell into, so as the stone travels across the water, the pitch travels with it — like a hand moving along an instrument.
When rain raises the water, the lake tightens and sings up to a whole tone higher.
WHAT YOU WILL SEE
• Day and night as a plain inversion of black and white — brushed ensō and clouds by day; stars, shooting stars and a moon with real phases by night
• The River of Heaven (天の川), but only on a deep, clear, moonless night — a find, not a fixture
• Weather: clear skies, rain and snow, with every drop rippling the line
• A lighthouse on the horizon every 100 points, its beam turning after dark
• A bonus fish beneath the surface, worth +3 × your combo
• Ten rare visitors that drift through now and then — an airship, sky lanterns, a whale, a turtle, a diver, and a flying saucer you will meet about once every hundred minutes of play
• Cranes crossing the sky every 1000 points — three flights, each one higher and further off (千羽鶴 — fold a thousand and a wish is granted)
• Falling sakura when you beat your record
SOUND THAT NEVER REPEATS
Beneath the music run eight layers of living ambience — silence, air, wind, water, rain, harmonic pads, the resonance of the lake and the touch of the stone. None of it is played back from files; it is all computed as you play, so no two sessions sound alike. Gentle haptics answer every touch.
Above that, ten ambient tracks — about 26 minutes of music — with half a minute of silence between them, when only the lake is left.
Sound and music have separate switches in the corner. Headphones recommended.
