Aegis uses a freemium model:

- Premium unlocks advanced detection, deeper visibility, monitoring features, and expanded security modules

VPN / VpnService

The app uses the Android VpnService API when you enable DNS-level ad and tracker blocking (and related on-device network filtering). This is a local VPN on your device: it is used to route DNS queries through the app’s filter so blocking rules can be applied. It is not a traditional VPN for changing country, hiding your IP address, or bypassing provider restrictions. Processing happens on-device for the stated security and privacy features.
