About this app

InkPress is a light, quiet reader that opens manga and documents in one app.
It reads the same on a phone, on a tablet, and on E-ink devices like BOOX.

Your current page, your annotations, and per-book layout settings sync automatically through Dropbox.
Start on your phone and carry on from your tablet or your E-ink device.
Books kept on a home NAS or Nextcloud (WebDAV) can be opened and read directly, too.

InkPress was built for E-ink (e-paper) devices from the start.
- Contrast adjustment and dithering keep text and images crisp
- On BOOX devices, full-screen refresh automatically reduces ghosting
- A built-in sleep (screen saver) you can use while reading

The care that went into the fussiest e-paper panels works just as well on a phone: a calm, paper-like page that stays easy on the eyes through long sessions.

■ About the use of the AccessibilityService API

InkPress uses the AccessibilityService API for one purpose only: turning the screen off (locking the device) when you tap the in-app Sleep button. On many E-ink devices the power button is hard to reach while reading, and this feature lets you put the device to sleep with a single tap.

The service runs only if you explicitly enable it for InkPress in the system accessibility settings. InkPress never reads screen content and never collects or transmits any personal or usage data through this API.
