Quillpad is a fork of an original app called Quillnote. Quillpad is fully free and open-source. It will never show you ads, ask you for unnecessary permissions or upload your notes anywhere without you knowing.

Take beautiful markdown notes whenever you feel inspired, place them in notebooks and tag them accordingly. Stay organized by making task lists, set reminders and keep everything in one place by attaching related files.

With Quillpad, you can:

Ratings and reviews

A nicely featured application with a good interface. I only wish there was the possibility of encrypting notes and/or the app.

Great note tool, nice sync with Nextcloud. I only missed a way to set the default notebook to display/create notes.

This app is a fork of the Open-source application 'QuillNote'. Apparently that app was abandoned (no updates since Jan 2022) so the devs of this app forked it to continue development. So far, I haven't noticed anything different, but also, the app works perfectly fine as-is, and nothing seems to be missing. I do hope future versions bring cloud syncing with Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc. So far a perfectly good open-source notes app, with no ads.
