About this app

Korean Heritage Map helps you find and explore Korea's national heritage — both cultural and natural — on a single map. Whether you are studying Korean heritage or planning a trip, you can quickly see what lies around you.

Main features:
- Over 14,000 heritage sites mapped, including National Treasures, Treasures, Historic Sites, Scenic Sites, Natural Monuments, and provincially designated heritage
- Search and filter by name, address, or region
- Multi-word search: type "Ganghwa ginkgo" to find "Ginkgo Tree of Bolmeum-do, Ganghwa"
- Natural Monuments are grouped into animals, plants, geology and landforms, and protected areas
- 63 species-designated Natural Monuments, such as the Jindo Dog and Sapsaree, listed separately
- 829 intangible heritage entries included
- Detailed descriptions for each item, useful for study and research
- Descriptions in English, Chinese and Japanese (official Korea Heritage Service translations and in-app translations)
- Tap a photo to view it at full size
- Check in at heritage sites you visit and see your trail on the map
- Ranks and a Hall of Fame based on your visits
- Public transit directions to each site
- Works without an internet connection for heritage information and search (map tiles and photos require a connection)

Built on open data from the Korea Heritage Service. Useful for learning, travel planning, and field visits.
