By utilizing Android's native "VpnService", the app creates an isolated, on-device local VPN environment, allowing you to selectively encrypt and route DNS queries for specific applications at the OS level.

1. Granular Per-App Control (Strict Whitelist Approach)
No need to capture your entire device's traffic. You can toggle the DoT policy individually for each app.
* **Strict Whitelist:** By default, all apps are bypassed (unaffected). Only the specific applications you explicitly check in the UI will have their DNS queries routed through the designated DoT server.
* **Isolate Sensitive/Work Apps:** By keeping your business critical or company apps excluded from the proxy, you eliminate any risk of leaking enterprise domain logs to external custom DNS providers.

2. Dedicated DoT (DNS over TLS) Encryption
Unlike traditional unencrypted DNS (UDP Port 53), DoT encrypts your DNS queries over the transport layer (Port 853). This completely prevents eavesdropping, tampering, and DNS spoofing on untrusted networks or public Wi-Fi. You can register and switch between any custom DoT hostnames of your choice.

3. One-Tap Global Toggle
A prominent switch on the main screen allows you to instantly start or stop the local VPN service. Activate the secure routing precisely when you need it.

4. Local Network (Private IP) Bypass
To ensure local network stability and seamless connectivity, private IP address ranges (e.g., 192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, 172.16.x.x) are automatically excluded from the routing table. You can access local NAS, smart home devices, or corporate intranets without interference.

5. Persistent Background Service & Always-On Support
Operating as an Android Foreground Service with a persistent status bar notification, the app is fully protected from unexpected OS task-killing. It fully supports standard system "Always-on VPN" settings and automatic start upon device reboot.

🔒 Strict Data Privacy Policy
The VPN tunnel established by this app is a purely "local VPN" that operates entirely inside your smartphone.
Unlike commercial VPN services, your internet traffic is never forwarded to an external remote proxy server. PureTunnel DoT does not collect, log, or externally transmit any of your personal data or app traffic.

Furthermore, this app adheres to clean security principles and requires zero unnecessary permissions—no location, no contacts, and no storage access are requested.
