Traditional obstetrics has always been guided by late pregnancy events, especially high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia.
Ultrasonography markedly changed the north of obstetrics, where the fetus started to be entitled to diagnosis and treatment with citizenship characteristics.
With the arrival of doppler, USG 3D / 4D, elastography, ultrasound diagnosis has made extraordinary advances in pregnancy. Due to the high technology associated with the growing human knowledge, the view of assistance to the maternal-fetal binomial takes on the meaning of the first trimester, where the early identification of obstetric pathologies (pre-eclampsia / diabetes / perinatal hemolytic disease / fetal anomalies, etc.)
it brings the possibility of preventive and curative therapeutic intervention with real improvements in the perinatal outcome.
