KRAMPUS is a location-based game where you Create complex real-world waypoint hunts for your friends—and watch them suffer.

PLAYING A ROUTE

Enter a share code (format XXXX-XXXX) on the home screen and tap Start. The map shows your position and the distance to the next waypoint. Walk to each checkpoint. When you get within 5 meters, the waypoint is discovered and the next one unlocks. At each waypoint you see a name and hint. Some waypoints have tasks: take a photo, record audio or video, answer a question, or write free text. Tasks can be required or optional. Complete all waypoints to finish the route. When you finish, you see a completion greeting, your time, and how many waypoints and tasks you completed. You can share your result.

CREATING A ROUTE

Create an account to create routes. Add a name, optional description, and completion greeting. Place waypoints on the map by tapping or using your current location. Each waypoint can have a name, hint, and optional task (photo, video, audio, multiple choice, or free text). Choose map difficulty: Normal (minimal dark map). Save the route to get a share code. Share the code so others can play.

MAP AND NAVIGATION

By default the map uses a minimal dark style so you navigate by distance and direction. You can purchase "Reveal map" to see the full street map. Your position and waypoints stay visible either way.

TRACKING AND CHAT

Route creators can purchase "Track route" to see participants on a live map and chat with them. If the creator has tracking, you can chat with them while playing.

MY ROUTES

Routes you create and routes you receive via share code are saved in My routes. You can continue a route later or remove it.

REQUIREMENTS

Location permission is required. The app works offline after the route is loaded. Anonymous sign-in is supported for playing; creating routes requires an account.
