Let's Hang is for small hangouts that only happen when enough people show up. Online or in person.
Someone creates a hangout: what it's about, one to three possible times, how many people it needs and how many it can hold, and a deadline. You join. When enough people are in, it's on. If not enough do, nobody shows up to an empty room or an empty court.
IN PERSON
Volleyball on Saturday, a board game night, coffee after work. Pick the place on the map and the times that could work. People tap "Count me in", and when enough are going, it's on. The chat opens for everyone who's going, so you can sort out the rest.
ONLINE
Every online hangout is a table drawn from above, with the people sitting around it and a string of fairy lights overhead. You see at a glance how it's going: "2 / 3 seats to light up", "1 seat to go", "Table's full". When the lights go on, the room opens: video, chat, and nine games to play while you talk: Ludo, Poker, Spin the bottle, Last Card, Act it out, Pub Quiz, Four in a Row, Chess and Tic-Tac-Toe.
GOOD FOR
Pickup volleyball or five-a-side football, a board game night, a running or book club, dinner with the family, a study group, a gaming night with friends far away. Anything that needs a few people to say yes before it's worth doing.
