No poem is promoted because it has many likes or comments. No popularity contest, no hidden ranking. What you read comes from your choices, and from the sincere recommendations of other users.
Comments require mutual following and a 24-hour delay before publication, so that words take the time they deserve — and to protect you from impulsive reactions and unnecessary conflict.
Hide your likes, your followers, your following if you prefer to keep them to yourself. And make the opposite choice for others: not seeing their likes, not showing their counts. Everyone sets their own sliders, everyone finds their own right measure.
