Your keys. Your names.
Namebase is a self-custody wallet for Handshake — the blockchain where top-level names are won at public auction, not rented from a registrar. Bid, hold HNS, and manage on-chain DNS. Private keys never leave your device.
Bid on names
Open an unclaimed name, place a blind bid, reveal after bidding ends, then register the name or get your coins back.
Manage the ones you own
Renew, transfer, or finalize a name. Edit the DNS records it publishes on chain.
Send and receive HNS
Pay any Handshake address. Payments, bids, and name actions land in one history you can filter.
Open Handshake sites
A browser is built in. It resolves names through the node on your device and checks each site’s certificate against its on-chain TLSA record.
Run a node
Namebase runs a real Handshake node on your device. Light by default so you can start immediately; switch to full in Settings when you want to verify the chain locally.
Your keys stay on the device, behind a 24-word recovery phrase only you hold, and an optional password. Restore an existing Bob or Shake Wallet from that phrase. There is no account, no sign-in, and no way to buy, sell, or exchange HNS in the app. Namebase cannot access your wallet or recover a lost phrase.
Handshake is a young protocol. Names and coins can lose value, and a lost recovery phrase cannot be restored by anyone.
