About this app

This app is meant to work with a Netool network analyzer, find it at http://www.netool.io. This app will not work with any other device.

With a Netool.io handheld network analyzer you can detect ethernet protocols and analyze them.

Netool can detect the following:

-Tagged VLAN IDs
-Untagged VLAN ids (using CDP or LLDP)
-Spanning tree (STP)
-DHCP
-Switch Port (using CDP or LLDP)
-Switch Address (using CDP or LLDP)
-Switch Hostname (using CDP or LLDP)
-POE (using CDP or LLDP-MTD)
-and Perform ping tests to the internet, gateway and a custom address.

Netool can also share like a good device.

-Share via text, email, slack and more
-Upload your tests to share with other Netool users. (Netool remote cloud)

Android app does not reliably detect the tool but after working with their support on a recent hardware issue, I found them to be very responsive and they treated me better than I deserved. This will get there. A real stand-up company. Thank you.

These tools are great when they actually work but anytime I need to use it I probably spend about a half hour. Just trying to get it to reconnect to my phone. It's a shame they've never heard of Bluetooth.

The Fluke Linkrunner AT2000 that I use, tends to picks up other stacks and switch port info in the same closet. Very frustrating! The Netool, does a lot better job!
