This app does nothing on a consumer SIM.

PRV8 5G Connect is a CarrierConfig and field-diagnostics tool for private 4G/5G networks. It requires a SIM or eSIM that is provisioned with the access rules this app is authorized to use. Without that SIM it will open, report that it is waiting for a provisioned SIM, and cannot run its intended features.

PRV8 can work with you and your SIM or eSIM provider on proper provisioning.

If you do not have a provisioned SIM and are not arranging one, do not install this app.

WHAT IT IS

PRV8 5G Connect applies the CarrierConfig settings private networks need and gives field teams the radio and attach diagnostics they need on site. It is built for enterprise, campus, and industrial private-network deployments.

Configuration is authorized by UICC carrier privileges on the SIM itself. There is nothing to unlock in the app, and no account or password.

WHAT IT DOES

Configure — Apply PLMN ID, radio technology (LTE, 5G NSA, 5G SA), and APN policies through carrier config on PRV8 provisioned SIMs.

Radio control — Lock to LTE or 5G SA, set network selection, run a network scan, and manage the forbidden-PLMN list.

Attach status — See why the network accepted or rejected the SIM: registration state per domain, reject cause when the modem reports one, the cell where the refusal occurred, and the forbidden-PLMN list.

Site survey — Scans every operator, band, and cell the modem can hear at a location, scored and saved with a position fix so two surveys of the same place can be compared. Live metrics include RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, TAC, CID, PCI, and EARFCN.

CBRS Band 48 survey — Dedicated sweep of 3550–3700 MHz showing which channels are occupied before you deploy into shared spectrum.

Speed test — Throughput, latency under load, jitter, and packet loss on cellular or Wi-Fi, measured with M-Lab ndt7 and bound to the link under test.

Exportable reports — Diagnostics and saved surveys can be shared as a file or sent by email.

GETTING A PROVISIONED SIM

Access is carried by the SIM, not by the app. The SIM or eSIM must hold a GSMA ARA-M applet whose access rules authorize this application. Android grants carrier privileges from that rule and from nothing else.

PRV8 provisioned SIMs and eSIM profiles are a paid service arranged directly with us. Contact [e-mail] for terms. Nothing is sold inside the app.

If your private-network deployment needs a specific PLMN ID, radio technology, and APN combination, we can build a custom CarrierConfig profile to match it. This build includes profiles for 315-010, 999-xx, and 999-xxx, each allowing LTE and 5G NSA/SA. Send us your network details and we will build and implement the configuration for your deployment.

PERMISSIONS

Location — Required by Android before cell identities (PCI, TAC, band, channel) can be reported. Without it, survey and Phone Info screens cannot show the measurements they exist to show. Location is used on the device and is included only in a survey report you choose to export.

Phone state — Required to read subscription, SIM, and registration information, including the device IMEI shown on the Phone Info screen.

Speed test (optional) — Runs against Measurement Lab (M-Lab). M-Lab publishes every result it receives — including the IP address of the device that ran the test — as permanent public data. The app tells you this before a test starts. No other feature depends on it.
