BAST – Burgenland's On-Demand Shared Taxi for Flexible Mobility
With BAST (Burgenland's On-Demand Shared Taxi), you can reach your destination comfortably and flexibly – even outside of regular public transport.
This micro-public transport system complements the existing network and specifically fills gaps in public transport, especially during off-peak hours or in more rural areas.
How BAST works:
You book your ride via app or phone – BAST arrives at the agreed-upon stop at your desired departure time. The only requirement is that no scheduled bus or train runs within 30 minutes before or after your desired time. During this period, BAST operates – efficiently and according to demand.

Operating hours:
Northern Burgenland (Mattersburg, Eisenstadt, Eisenstadt-Umgebung, Neusiedl am See):
4:30–8:00 a.m.: Feeder service to main routes
8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.: Local service between stops
7:00–8:30 p.m.: Return service from main routes
Central and Southern Burgenland (Oberpullendorf, Oberwart, Güssing, Jennersdorf):
3:30–8:00 a.m.: Feeder service to main routes
8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.: Local service between Stops
7:00 PM – 8:30 PM: Return service from the main routes
The journey must be completed by 8:30 PM. Extended service hours are not permitted.
