With BAST (Burgenland Call-Along Taxi), you can reach your destination comfortably and flexibly – even outside of regular public transport.
This micro-public transport system complements the existing network and specifically closes gaps in public transport, especially at off-peak times or in more rural areas.
How BAST works:
You book your ride via app or by phone – the BAST will arrive at the agreed stop at the desired departure time. The prerequisite: There is no scheduled bus or train service 30 minutes before or after the desired time. Then BAST operates – efficiently and on-demand.

4:30 a.m.–8:00 a.m.: Shuttle service to the main routes
8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.: Local trips between stops
7:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m.: Return service from the main routes
Central & Southern Burgenland (Oberpullendorf, Oberwart, Güssing, Jennersdorf):
3:30 a.m.–8:00 a.m.: Shuttle service to the main routes
8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.: Local trips between Stops
7:00 PM–8:30 PM: Return buses from the main routes
The trip must be completed by 8:30 PM. Exceeding the service time is not permitted.
